We set out to create inspiring spaces where unexpected meetings happen. That\u2019s how we help people and companies to grow. Actually great workspaces? We\u2019ve been developing ours for two decades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There has to be a more inspiring way to work. That\u2019s what we thought almost 25 years ago when we founded United Spaces, making it the first coworking space in the world (yes, it\u2019s true!). Since 1999, we\u2019ve tried every conceivable idea when it comes to workspaces. So, it\u2019s no coincidence that we know what works. What makes inspiration flow, what lifts productivity and what actually gives you a sense of well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 years of United Spaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For over two decades, United Spaces has been a hub for innovation, learning and networking. Since the start back in 1999, the core idea has remained the same: to create a meeting place where interesting people do business and grow together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

1999<\/h3>

G\u00f6ran Garberg and Lars Ryd\u00e9n come up with the idea for United Spaces. Our first coworking space opens on Kungsholmen in Stockholm.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2001<\/h3>

We open our second space. This time in the Norrebro district in central Copenhagen.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2002<\/h3>

The Stockholm office on Kungsholmen becomes popular \u2013 and too crowded! So, we move across the water to S\u00f6der M\u00e4larstrand, to new premises in Munchenbryggeriet.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2005<\/h3>

An exciting opportunity arises to secure an entire floor at Vasagatan 11 in the heart of Stockholm. We take the leap, marking our departure from the southern part of the city \u2013 for now.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2011<\/h3>

After six wonderful years at Vasagatan, it\u2019s time for our next chapter: the newly constructed Waterfront Building near Central Station in Stockholm. Here, we develop an entire floor spanning approximately 23,600 square feet.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2017<\/h3>

United Spaces expands to Gothenburg and Malm\u00f6 \u2013 not a moment too soon! With these new openings, we take further steps toward becoming the leading coworking provider in the Nordics. Exciting times ahead!<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2019<\/h3>

United Spaces becomes a subsidiary of the real estate company Castellum. Why? To strengthen our position as pioneers \u2013 and secure access to the best locations.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2021<\/h3>

We\u2019re expanding rapidly, opening six new locations this year! We acquire fantastic spaces in R\u00e5dhuset in Uppsala and at Torsgatan in Stockholm. In G\u00f6teborg, \u00d6stra Hamngatan is expanding \u2013 and we\u2019re launching United Spaces Lindholmen on Hisingen.<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2022<\/h3>

Our eleventh spot is now up and running in the greenest part of Helsingborg, Oceanhamnen \u2013 a few steps from the city center and even closer to the sea. <\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

2023<\/h3>

We\u2019re opening up right in the heart of J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping. More specifically, in the modern office building known as Werket. We look forward to a great time in this vibrant city!<\/p><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
